| This is a very good reference book, especially whilst putting effort in inluencing any person. We essentially do this by an ethical friendly approach without force or cohersion or any negative means. The nice friendly approach is often time succesfull, this is the EQ (emotional intelligence) of its time...I hope many of you benefit from this...remember...the ethical and understanding way...always trying to understand and dig deeper why that person, may have been what he is now will surely help... |

Wonderful book -- one principle I am not sure about |
| This book teaches you how to get along with people, how to avoid uneccessary conflict and how to get people to support your ideas. I am not sure about one of the principles: "Never criticize or condemn" because what should you do with legitimate concerns about another person. I prefer to tell them what bothers me, what I think would work best for me and ask the other person for their best solution. This approach is in a fabulous book called Optimal Thinking: How To Be Your Best Self which I discovered quite by accident as I was reading the reviews for this book. I totally recommend both of these books. They have changed my life for the best. |

It won me over. |
Just a joy to read, this book is truly a classic. With its timeless stories the author uses to illustrate the principles of getting along with others, this book should be requires reading for all human beings. Other self-help books I liked include "The No-Beach, No-Zone, No-Nonsense Weight Loss Plan, A Pocket Guide To What Works."
