Each time I read it I cry! |
| I got this book as a gift for my birthday when i was 5 months pregnant - I cried reading the book and called my friend to thank her and cried with her on the phone....I pulled it out the other day to get the author since my dear friend is now pregnant and i want to buy it for her - and since i had it out i read it to my 4 month old son and cried reading it to him...I will now keep it in his pile of books to read to him often! We are all born with gifts, and we shares these gifts with our children as we teach them day in and day out.....it is a very powerful book! honest and true - and how much love we have and how we want the best for our children! I also got another copy from someone after my son was born....and i love that there is a page in the beginning to personalize it - what these people wrote was very powerful too.....ENJOY!!! |

| I work with children in a public library (on a bookmobile!), and I purchased this book for our collection. It's a warm and loving story that instructs children in their emotional development, encouraging them to draw on strengths within themselves that they may not realize they naturally have. The text is simple, yet exquisitely written. The message is delicate and sweet. The photographs are realistic and reflect children experiencing the world. How I wish I had these kind of spiritual teachings from a parent when I was growing up! This book offers a great way to begin to teach your child how to soothe himself or herself, and how to face life's challenges with heart. I highly recommend it for your children's library at home, and for you too! |

What a beautiful book! |
I bought this book when I was pregnant with my twin daughters. It is a gift from me to them (when they get older I will share it with/give it to them). It holds a very powerful meaning for me. I read the book through tons of tears and when finished, wrote a message from my heart on the inside cover to my unborn girls. Now that they are here (8 months old) I want them to be all this book mentions and more.
The author says it all so beautifully and this is just such a wonderful book...a must have for any parent who wants the world for his/her children! |
